Caries risk assessment
[Prevent tooth decay thanks to professional caries risk assessment by KU64]
Many people only go to the dentist when they have toothache or discover black spots on their teeth themselves! Most people are unaware that it is possible to have a caries risk assessment carried out as part of preventive care, thereby protecting their teeth from caries and keeping them healthy in the long term. The test is very simple, completely painless, provides reliable warning of caries and is quick.
How KU64's risk assessment works
Our dentists at KU64 simply take a saliva sample from you. Using this sample, our specialists can identify acid-producing bacteria and mutans streptococci (lactobacilli) and give you an assessment of how susceptible your teeth are to harmful bacteria. You are at increased risk if you already have old or defective fillings in your mouth. You are also at high risk from harmful bacteria if you already have plaque, as this is a breeding ground for bacteria.
We at KU64 have the right tools to help you
If the caries risk assessment shows that you are at risk, we can give you the right advice to avoid complex (and costly) treatments. We are happy to give you a few easy-to-follow tips on oral hygiene and nutrition. If this is not enough, we also recommend using a tongue brush and an ultrasonic toothbrush to optimise your daily oral care. Both care products have shown very good results, especially in removing critical and stubborn plaque. Take precautions in good time and prevent the worst from happening.
At KU64, we are happy to help you with our knowledge and, if you wish, with our products.
