At KU64 Berlin, the world of holistic pediatric and adolescent dentistry offers plenty of space for play, fun, and a relaxed appointment with the children’s dentist. The little ones can stay with each other as we have created a complete, futuristic, and playful floor for them with great attention to detail.
The pediatric dentists at KU64 Berlin welcome both young and old on the fourth floor in a colorful kids’ paradise, which includes a children’s cinema, PlayStation and Xbox, cavity cave, oversized Jenga game, aquarium, formicarium, great books, coloring station, and much more. A visit to the dentist is fun from the very first appointment!
THE FIRST VISIT TO THE CHILDREN'S DENTIST
The first visit to the children’s dentist ideally happens with the eruption of the first tooth. Baby teeth and permanent teenage teeth require particularly sensitive treatment. We treat toddlers, children, and adolescents up to the age of 18, as well as expectant mothers. Children are born with a healthy mouth, and we want to preserve that together with their parents.
HOW DOES THE PEDIATRIC DENTIST APPROACH TREATMENT?
Our team of pediatric dentists not only advises you from a dental perspective – our young patients also experience us as engaged and caring trusted individuals. After the initial consultation in our dental practice, which serves among other things as an opportunity to get to know each other, and a thorough examination, an individual treatment and prophylaxis plan will be created. During the examination of the tooth substance, tooth alignment, gums, oral mucosa, and dental development, our dentists always keep in mind that this mouth belongs to a young personality. Our dentists also pay close attention to tooth alignment at every examination. In cooperation with our orthodontic specialists, they ensure that a crooked tooth fits back into the bite in a straight and harmonious way. Naturally, our dentists explain their approach at every stage of treatment and are always happy to answer any questions.
OUR TREATMENT SPECTRUM INCLUDES:
Fissure sealing
Tooth decay in children
Pediatric orthodontics
Pediatric prophylaxis
Nitrous oxide treatment
Therapeutic magic
General anesthesia
THE SECRET OF OUR PRACTICE?
In Berlin’s largest pediatric dental practice, your children are taught the proper brushing technique in a striking and child-friendly manner – to prevent cavities before they even start. We gently guide anxious patients and actively work against fear in the treatment room: The treating dentists delight our young stars with music, stories, talking puppets, and little magic tricks. If they like, children can even watch a movie during their treatment.
A delicious pre-anesthesia, nitrous oxide, calming syrup, and pediatric hypnosis are additional ways to make your child’s dentist visit as pleasant and pain-free as possible, while avoiding general anesthesia or sedation.
MAGICAL TREATMENT JUST FOR KIDS
Another special feature of our pediatric dentists: The entire dental team has been trained in Therapeutic Magic, a combination of magic and hypnotherapy, by expert Annalisa Neumeyer. Our pediatric dentists and their assistants perform many amazing magic tricks to ensure that children and families enjoy a relaxed treatment without fear and have an entertaining stay at KU64 Berlin!
THE PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH
We also make no secret of our twenty years of dental experience and our team of specialists in prophylaxis and orthodontics. On the contrary, with us, even the youngest learn how to properly care for their teeth and receive practical tips for daily brushing at home.
Unlike adults, young children need time to get used to the dentist. Our pediatric dentists know exactly how to handle them to build trust and take the time necessary for treatment.
WELCOME TO THE KU64 YOUNG STARS DENTAL SCHOOL BERLIN
In the KU64 Young-Stars-Dental-School, we awaken children’s awareness of dental health. In our pediatric dental practice, children not only learn how to brush their teeth but also “ride the chair,” experience “sun and wind,” show their “teeth,” feel “toothshine,” and have fun with the “mouthwash machine.” Afterward, they get funny stamps on their very own certificate – dental treatment for kids can begin.
Through this pedagogical approach, the dentist teaches the child early on and emphatically how important dental health and proper nutrition are.

AWARD-WINNING DESIGN
The design of the dental practice was created by the renowned GRAFT architects: The floor on the fourth level for our young patients blends seamlessly into the design of KU64 Berlin’s dental practice. Since its opening in January 2010, we have been offering young patients a very special visit to the dentist.
We are especially proud of the recognition of the pediatric dental practice as an outstanding healthcare building by the German Association of Architects (BDA e.V.) in 2013.

FAQ
Parents can play a significant role in making the first visit to the dentist a positive experience, and children may even look forward to the next visit. Remaining calm before the first examination often automatically transfers to your child. This also applies to fears and concerns. Your child intuitively senses if you yourself are anxious about the dentist. Instead, spark curiosity and joy about the dental examination and avoid making promises like “it won’t hurt.” A reward after the dentist visit is usually not necessary.
Dental care generally begins with the first baby tooth. Parents should regularly clean their child’s baby teeth in the evening with a cloth or cotton swab. By the age of two, the cotton swab can be replaced with a toothbrush. Dentists recommend brushing the baby teeth twice a day with a fluoride children’s toothpaste. Parents should thoroughly brush before or after their child to ensure they reach all areas of the mouth. Once the permanent teeth emerge, children should use a toothpaste with a higher fluoride content. At your next check-up appointment, we’ll gladly provide tips on the proper brushing technique and a balanced diet that supports oral health.
Regular prophylaxis and professional teeth cleaning for children is advisable as early as the age of three. In combination with regular check-ups, prophylaxis helps with the early detection of cavities and gum diseases such as periodontal disease.
