The Design-Hotel Q!
in Berlin Since 2004 the design hotel Q! in West Berlin pampers its guests – with the best service and pure design designed by GRAFT.
The trademark
Wave-shaped lines, a hallmark of the Trios of architects, in red, dominate the look of the entire hotel. The basic design is enriched with unusual elements – for example, the bathtub does not stand in the bathroom, but next to the bed!
Fast-paced success story
The Q! hotel quickly became a Berlin hot spot. Prominent national and international artists, models, etc. are welcome here: In addition to Brad Bitt and Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez and Amy Winehouse are among the guests. “Architecture can be more than beautiful. Buildings and interiors can take away fears and even support healing processes,” says Thomas Willemeit of grafT Architects, who have also implemented the Charité’s new and innovative intensive care unit.
Some press reviews
“The hippest reopening in 2004!” (MAX), “a cool, calming version of the future” (Herald Tribune), “a widly hip hotel” (Elle Decoration). The Q! hotel has already won important design awards in its short history and has been included in the list of the “50 coolest hotels of the World” of the British Condé Nast Traveller.
Like twins
As Dr. Ziegler the Q! Hotel discovered, he immediately fell in love with the design understanding of GRAFT. At that moment, his vision of a special dental practice had taken on a concrete form – and already a few months later the construction work began at KU64.
The Stack Restaurant at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas
Almost at the same time as the Dental practice KU64 in Berlin The restaurant and bar ‘Stack’ were built in 2005 in the world famous Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA). Wave-shaped strips and layers give the ambience of the restaurant an ultimate futuristic touch. As if created by nature by chance, associations are created with the gorges of the Grand Canyon, not far from Las Vegas.
