Orthodontising
Combination

In some adult patients, the jaws are in the wrong position. Satisfactory correction in these patients is often only possible with a combined orthodontic-jaw surgery therapy.

In this treatment, the jaws are moved to the correct position in an operation. The extensive operation is performed exclusively by experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the hospital and lasts between 3 and 6 hours.

A pre-orthodontic treatment is required before surgery to form the dental arches. After the operation, both jaws are fixed with wires for about 1 week and the patient can only feed with a stohhalm during this time. After about 3-4 weeks, the orthodontic fine tuning begins.

Jaw displacement changes your visual appearance. Be aware that your facial features will change as a a force to be performed. Some patients have always wanted this change, but for others this can be a problem.
