CHILDREN’S PROPHYLAXE – THE KU64-PREMIUM-PROPHYLAXE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG

DEAR PARENTS, DEAR CHILDREN,
we wish every human being healthy teeth and a healthy gum for life. In order to achieve this goal, the right strategy for dental care by parents and dentists must be taught to the children together.
This includes:
- daily dental care
- healthy diet
- regular prophylaxis appointments and
- a tailor-made precautionary programme for kids at our enchanting tooth fairies.
For children, prophylactic measures are still largely covered by statutory health insurance. However, professional dental cleaning such as KU64 premium child prophylaxis is also not included in the GKV catalogue of services for children and must be paid for privately. This usually costs only 40 to 80 euros for children.
Professional tooth cleaning in special cases such as bracket carriers, black tartar, discoloration by medication, etc. is more time-consuming. In these cases, we charge an additional payment of 5 euros per 5 minutes required.
PROFESSIONAL DENTAL CLEANING FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS – IS A PEDAGOGICAL TREATMENT!
First of all, in our practice, the so-called oral hygiene status is raised: the dental coverings are dyed with a special means to make them clearly visible. This allows us to show your child in the mirror where they need to clean better. The number of tooth surfaces with coverings and the places where the gums bleed when touched are recorded. In subsequent investigations it is easy to determine whether the cleaning behaviour has improved.
BRUSHING YOUR TEETH – BUT RIGHT!
In order to motivate your child and to better convey the treatment and the right brushing of teeth, we show the pads in our unique caries cavity. After staining, the highly visible coverings are carefully and gently removed by our specially trained prophylaxis staff and the tooth surfaces are polished mirror-smooth. Each tooth is then coated with a highly effective protective varnish that protects the teeth from tooth decay for up to three months. For longer-term protection, we recommend that you have a fissure sealing carried out in our practice. However, there is no recommendation here as to which year of age such sealing should be carried out, as the tooth growth is different for each child.
We also show your child from the age of three how to brush their own teeth best to prevent the re-formation of plaque.
All this takes place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, in which it is only about the dental health of your child. The child should understand that he or she is responsible for his own dental health and develop fun in dental care. For us pediatric dentists, this is the most important assignment!
