WHY ARE YOU RIGHT WITH US?

Our dentists not only have many years of experience (they have already carried out countless root treatments, thus freeing the affected patients from their pain) and extensive training in the endodontic field. They use highly magnifying magnifying glasses with integrated LED light and a high-tech surgical microscope for root canal treatment. Thus, a precise and safe treatment is guaranteed without unpleasant consequences. In addition, KU64 offers fast and flexible appointments – even on weekends.

WHAT IS THE COURSE OF ENDODONTIC TREATMENT?

According to the current state of knowledge, no compromises should be made in root canal treatment. If the treatment is not carried out absolutely thoroughly, this inevitably leads to a deterioration of the prognosis of the affected tooth. What is the process of good root canal treatment?

With these professional measures of modern root canal treatment, we achieve the greatest possible bacterial freedom in the root canal system with the best prospects for long-term success:

  • Production of a sterile work area with luggage dam protection using sterile rotating disposable channel preparation instruments made of highly flexible nickel-titanium
  • Alloy with the help of a computer-controlled stepper motor that measures torque 300 times per second and adjusts it optimally
  • Ultrasonic-activated cleaning of the root canal for cleaning side channels
  • Use of additional medical, disinfecting rinsing solutions for detaching and rinsing organic residues in the root canal
  • Complementary electronic measurement of root canal lengths to prevent sub-/overfill of root canals
  • Root filling: After cleaning the root canals, elaborate root filling techniques are used, such as lateral condensation or thermal filling technology with the natural material Guttapercha obtained from the juice of the gutta tree

HOW LONG DOES ROOT CANAL TREATMENT TAKE?

Today’s modern treatment is much more pleasant and gentle than before. Nevertheless, root canal treatment usually takes place in several sessions, which take about an hour or more.

WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF SUCCESS OF ROOT CANAL TREATMENT?

When using all the means available to us within the framework of modern root canal treatment, there is a very good chance that the diseased tooth can be preserved sustainably healthy and free of inflammation. In the rarest of cases, a root canal is s-shaped, branches or in other ways makes mechanical preparation impossible. These cases can unfortunately not be completely ruled out before root canal treatment is carried out.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER ROOT CANAL TREATMENT?

After completion of the treatment, your dentist will receive a detailed treatment report, and further care of the tooth can continue as usual with him. As part of the regular post-checks,our endodontologues check the success of the treatment and inform your dentist.

The tooth is already considerably weakened by the root canal treatment itself and becomes somewhat brittle, which is coined with a more or less pronounced grey discoloration. Therefore, these teeth should always be supplied with a dental crown or partial crown, which best protects the tooth from break-up as well as from a new infection with bacteria.

Please keep in mind: An optimalroot-treated tooth treated by our specialists and then by your home dentist can perform its full service in the mouth for a lifetime without developing into a disturbance field. Further surgical measures, such as root tip resection, will most likely not be necessary either.
